Reds 23 vs Chiefs 18
Kicking off the weekend the Chiefs and the Reds got it on in Hamilton. Here is a tip; NEVER underestimate the underdogs!! The Reds spoiled the homecoming party for the Chiefs ending that three week winning streak. As the famous saying goes - what goes up must come down and so did my fantasy league score.
Brumbies 24 vs Lions 13
The lions went on tour to face the Brumbies, shame they still can’t get a win. I can imagine that it’s damn hard to try and win when you give away 18 penalties!!! Burten Francis went head to head with the crowd favorite Matt Giteau, of course Matt came out trumps with his kicking boot.
Crusaders 33 vs Blues 20
The triple C phenomena: Christchurch, Crusaders and Carter! With that in mind it’s hard to think any team can manage to win the Crusaders at home even arch rivals the Blues couldn’t succeed. Credit to the Blues for pulling off a great game of rugby in the 1st half and preventing the bonus point. As always the Crusaders hit back hard in the 2nd half and gave the home crowd a celebration.
Waratahs 25 vs Sharks 21
Oh dear the Sharks are still not getting it right. Andy Goode seems to love the sin bin, making it two in a row. Discipline seems to be a huge concern for the Sharks, but at least they did try to prove a point by picking up 2 tries. The Waratahs hit back powering over three tries and walked away with the victory.
Stormers 33 vs Highlanders 0
The Stromers were ready for business at Newlands, making sure that they won’t loose two weeks in a row. They provided the fans with some classy rugby, scoring brilliant tries and picking up a bonus point. The Highlanders had to defend as if their lives depended on it, but couldn’t even manage to reach the score board. Shame!!
Cheetahs 28 vs Hurricanes 12
Last game of the weekend was at Bloemfontein where the Cheetahs made sure the Hurricanes understood clearly that they were on Cheetah turf. The previously unbeaten Hurricanes scored two tries but a dangerous spear tackle from Nonu landed him in the sin bin. The Cheetahs fought back with an excellent try from Kabamba Floors that clinched the victory at home. Etiketler: |

This version of “I’ve Found a New Baby” was recorded at The Harp Hotel, Albrighton, Shropshire, England on Sunday, April 6th. 2008 by JB’s Jazz and Blues Band . Led by John Beckingham on piano the line-up was Roger Mannering on clarinet, soprano and tenor sax, Andy Woods on guitar, Mark Howell on bass and special guest Jeff Hawker on drums. Jeff is featured in a superb drum solo which drew many appreciative comments from the audience. This popular Gloucester based band are always welcome at the Harp and guarantee an entertaining Sunday lunchtime every time, they will be back on July 6th. 08. Once again an excellent gig at the Harp where sessions are held every Sunday lunchtime and Tuesday evening. The ballad of harry scratch details the sad story of a dirt farmer who is persecuted & jailed by a wealthy landowner who wants the water on his land. And Harry's wife... After being spurned by the wife, the wealthy landowner burns down Harry's house and murders the wife, throwing the baby into the trees beside the house.. Harry breaks out of jail, kills the wealthy guy and flees to the woods with his baby girl. He sings this ballad into his mobile phone before shooting himself, leaving the baby crying beside his corpse. The footage of Harry Scratch was taken from his videophone and shows the actual moment of his death. It has been cut in with creative narrative animation detailing the events in the ballad.
